Here at rustin’s Preschool…

We are a local, private, in-home, licensed childcare/preschool in North Carrollton, Texas. Our story began 35 years ago with our original owner and founder Elouise Rustin. Her purpose was to start with young minds, from infancy, to prepare them academically and equip them with skills that will reach into their adulthood. Elouise Rustin continued to expand her legacy, keep it close to home, by appointing Melissa Rustin as her successor.

Melissa Rustin, having 3 children of her own, has taken the responsibility of ensuring Rustin’s Preschool continues to uphold those same goals and values, Elouise started with many years ago. Melissa has adopted new methods of higher learning to keep up with the ever changing needs of child development.

At Rustin’s Preschool, it is our standard that each member of the staff stay up-to-date on many different topics like Emergency Preparedness, Understanding Early Childhood Development, Understand Safe Sleep Practices and Prevention of SIDS, Managing Common Childhood Illnesses, Classroom Management and Development Appropriate Environments for Infants and Toddlers.

We are always finding ways to overcome challenging behaviors by using positive guidance and discipline when responding to challenging infant and toddler behavior.

Melissa is a Director accredited by Elite Professional Development Training. Rustin’s Preschool staff are Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certified and continue to seek new ways to improve early start education methods. Such programs not only educate the students, but excite them to learn more.
